A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DATA PROCESSING SUPERVISOR As a Data Processing Supervisor, you spend your day supervising and maintaining the Police Department records. You are constantly on your toes and ready for any new and unexpected challenges that may arise in the city. When you are not out in the city, you provide statistical information to other internal departments; producing copies of records for subpoenas; responding to requests for records; assisting in locating records and reports, and other duties as required. You enjoy being helpful and have no problem providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed. The city needs someone like you with great people skills in providing excellent customer service to all our customers, and finds genuine enjoyment in what you do! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DATA PROCESSING SUPERVISOR Associate's degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in related field. Additional education and experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the above requirements. Requires one (1) year experience in computer/law enforcement work. Preferred: Three (3) years' experience in related field.
