Working on the Analytic Data Enablement team within a business department, you play an integral role to work directly with business and ET partners to make fast decisions and drive pace. Your work is essential for enabling teams to move data-driven decision making to the Cloud, investigating new and innovative services, and forging creative solutions.As a member of the PCM Department you will be challenged and empowered to grow professionally. As a Data Analytics Engineer you will: Design P&C analytic data asset solutions to meet enterprise needs, including focused validation and testing to ensure data is of the highest quality Work closely with product team and customers to represent P&C business needs in data capture, storage, movement, and analytic asset development efforts, with focus on cloud solutions Provide intelligent data management and pipeline solutions for the development, implementation, execution, validation, monitoring, and improvement/reusability of analytic solutions Identify critical and emerging technologies, techniques, tools, data sources, and platforms in the data engineering field, including cloud-based solutions, that support and extend quantitative analytic deployment solutions Serve as a business domain knowledge for new and existing P&C data sources Qualifications Required Skills: Experience or ability to rapidly gain P&C data domain knowledge, including rating, underwriting and/or claims Experience in any programming languages such as Python, Spark SQL (or pyspark library), R, Java, etc. Experience with a relational database (e.g., DB2, Postgres, Oracle) Experience with developing solutions on AWS and/or other large data platforms such as Hadoop Experience with version control (e.g., GitHub, GitLab) Ability to learn and adopt new technologies and languages Critical thinking skills to challenge current thinking and apply right technology to solve problems.
