Custodian/Janitor Full Time (12 pm - 8:30 pm) ** Pay rate up to $17.30/hour** United Methodist Communities is currently seeking a Custodian/Janitor for our Pitman Community. Senior Living in Gloucester County at our UMC senior community in Pitman, New Jersey, is truly integrated into the life of the town. We are part of a beautiful residential neighborhood, near to highways and public transportation with easy access to both Philadelphia as well as the Jersey Shore. The Custodian/Janitor is responsible to support the residents' care and services through ensuring that their overall home is clean and tidy. Requirements for a Custodian/Janitor: High School Diploma or equivalent Some previous experience in custodial/janitorial preferred. Responsibilities for a Custodian/Janitor: Floor care. Dust/clean furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and disinfect equipment including all the hallways and sitting areas. Empties and cleans waste receptacles daily. Cleans and maintains supplies in the restrooms. Moves and arranges furniture, special program set up and equipment as needed. May assist in unloading delivery trucks/monitor back door during deliveries. Appropriate use of cleaning products. Perform floor care on all surfaces. Opeartes scrubber/burnisher/extractor and various housekeeping equipment. Strip and finish floors.
