ROLE - Crime Paralegal LOCATION - Manchester SALARY DOEA leading Independent Criminal Defence Practice, located in South Manchester, just outside the city centre is currently seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their small team. The firm specialises in defending allegations of serious fraud and serious complex and organised crime, with a dedicated lawyer leading the defence for individuals and companies facing such charges. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Criminal Defence and be capable of quickly adapting to the role. Responsibilities: Managing a caseload of files and overseeing file management. Preparing client letters and drafting statements. Creating briefs for counsel. Communicating with clients in person and over the telephone. Instructing experts and preparing briefs for counsel. Managing payments and financial matters. Providing support and advice to clients. Handling general legal administration and associated duties. The Candidate: The firm welcomes applications from Paralegals with experience in criminal law. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities: Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex matters in clear and accessible language. Works effectively as part of a team and independently with own initiative. Highly organised and able to perform well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
