They train new employees and provide ongoing support, addressing issues alongside supervisors. Additionally, they troubleshoot problems like equipment malfunctions or inventory discrepancies.Our team members receive industry-leading wages and are eligible for great benefits packages:Hourly Competitive Starting Pay - $22.90/hour$1.00/hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift positionsComprehensive Health Insurance, Retirement Benefits and More.Education benefit available to full- and part time Smithfield team members on their first day of employment.In addition, we offer opportunities for career growth and professional development.Core ResponsibilitiesAssist shift supervisors in pre-shift meetings and paperwork necessary during the shiftTrain employees in a safe and efficient manner on material handling equipmentPlan and execute timely inbound and outbound deliveries, prioritizing resourcesResponsible for escalating any issues that arise during the shift, if necessaryEnsure that employees are working safely, following all work rules, and that all required PPE are being worn at all timesAct as Wave Planner when necessary; these duties include (but are not limited to) allocating orders, releasing work to the warehouse floor, and ensuring truck turn times are within acceptable levelsEnsure that proper people are in the appropriate areas on the correct equipment to evenly complete work in queueRequired to operate Powered Industrial Equipment needed for the positionOther duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Previous lead or supervisory experience is highly desired.Experience in a role managing multiple priorities is highly desirableExperience with warehouse management systems is required.
