POSITION SUMMARY: Provides internal and external customers with prompt, courteous, and accurate service in all of their credit card needs while ensuring applicable policies, procedures and regulations are followed. Performs a variety of operational functions including clerical and accounting duties. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Process credit card applications/documents ensuring completeness of loan file before booking on system and electronically archiving documents Process credit card payments daily Answer calls and assists customers with their credit card inquiries Process daily settlements Proofs/verifies accuracy of work. Compares data entered with source documents Work with various Excel spreadsheets that are used by the department, regulators, and external auditors Review reports daily Perform a variety of transactions including but not limited to: account transfers, balance inquiries, account maintenance, and billing disputes, fraud cases, send various letters Assist with collections, including calling past dues, processing charge-offs, small claims, garnishments, recoveries, etc. Reconcile department specific GL accounts Assist personal bankers and Customer Service Center with their inquiries regarding credit card inquiries Provide support to management/supervisor in administering all department programs, initiatives, and special projects Performs other credit card and administrative functions as needed EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent Banking/Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred Ability to understand and apply accounting principles Proficient computer skills to include Word and Excel Experience working with confidential information Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and work quality Effective problem solving and analytical skills Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities in an environment with spontaneous changes in workload and deadlines
