Active Church is a non-denominational Christian church located in the beautiful city of San Luis Obispo, CA. Active Church is led by Lead Pastor Adam Magana & his wife Stacy, who planted the church in 2017. The church moved into their new facility in March of 2022, which is located minutes from downtown.www.myactivechurch.org Creative DirectorStatus: Full Time // SalaryDirect Supervisor: Lead Pastor Area: Creative Director (Communications) Mission: The role of the Creative Director (CD) is to oversee our Creative Ministry and execute the communications strategy of Active Church under the direction and leadership of the lead pastors. This will require a firm grasp of the beliefs, values and strategy of Active Church and the ability to clearly and concisely communicate the Gospel of Christ in various communication mediums. The Creative Director (CD) will execute all components of communications and marketing to add inspiration, motivation and clarity to church messages. Oversight and Execution of Communications and Marketing: The CD creates seamless messages that produce simple ways to connect with Active Church. The CD is responsible for creating and managing a communications system (requests & calendaring) which ensures a consistent experience across multiple touch points. Creative Content Development: Must show an ability to develop creative ideas to communicate a message. The CD will need to show an ability to take a creative idea from concept to reality and an ability to work with the various members of our Creative Team to create original content via video and graphic design as needed. Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to: Manage and lead the design team; invest and develop their skills and abilities. Design and illustrate a range of projects including print media, promotions, web design and special ministry projects. Attention to detail when creating clear and compelling pieces through print and digital mediums. Work on multiple projects simultaneously grow and equip volunteers for the creative team. Oversee our photography, video, web, and social media teams to develop design solutions from concept to completion. Daily Post General Content Everyday on Active Church Socials Weekly Administrate Weekly Sermon YouTube post Capture and edit Photos Every week Create Custom Sunday Recap Reel Each Week Create Custom talking head Recap Reel Each Week Schedule and Administrate Weekly Photographers, social media teams . Monthly Design and create all sermon series media. Design and create all media for events. Publish all events online across various platforms. Monthly MailChimp Administration General Graphics Create General Videos as needed Yearly Website Updates Setup and Manage Paid Ad Campaigns. Qualifications: -Experience in a graphic design environment or related field.-Portfolio illustrating a wide variety of design.-Receptive to receive feedback and direction in the pursuit of excellence.-An understanding of design principles, specifically with typography and composition.-Willingness to work efficiently with tight deadlines and fast turnarounds-Proficiency in Adobe CC, with emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign -Understanding and experience in user-interface design for web and mobile -Collaborative, flexible, goal-driven personality
