Job Description Summary Perform tasks involving physical labor on parking lots by removing all vegetation, dirt, sediment, and debris before filling pavement cracks hot pours cracksealing material dispensed from an oil-jacketed system. The laborer will inspect and maintain all cracksealing truck, equipment, and supplies including tires, lights, brakes, gas, and oil and completes minor repairs on the crackseal equipment at the direction of the Team Lead. Responsibilities Assist Team Lead in measuring parking lots; verify compliance with the work order Control traffic passing , in , and around work zones Review and understand all equipment operations manuals Confer with Team Lead for project assignment Unload boxes of hot rubber material and place blocks into cracksealing unit Assist in proper removal and disposal of collected vegetation and debris through the use of compressed air and trimmers Clean and prepare soiled areas before application of material Apply material through the use of oil-jacketed crackseal system Assist in job site cleanup Participate in bi-weekly safety meeting and crew mini-huddles Participate in personal and field safety protection activities Navigate to and from work sites Assist in other field work activities and maintains physical condition of the warehouse May occasionally be assigned to other maintenance teams in the Laborer position. Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have understanding of Rose Paving's business and proven abilities in the areas of preparation and installation of cracksealing repairs; and a basic understanding of Rose Paving's other services in the areas of Asphalt, Sealcoating, Catch Basin Repair, and Parking Lot Marking work. Must have ability to calculate figures and amounts such as measurements, weights, area, circumference and volume. Salary Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
