Position Overview Under the direction of the Materials Manager, this position is responsible for the requisitioning of supplies, inventory control, cost analysis, assisting with coordination of the acquisition of new supplies and equipment, and assisting with specific projects between nursing and other Hospital departments. Experience Minimum three (3) years direct related experience in a computerized purchasing/materials management environment. Previous experience in inventory control required. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade 12 education. Completion of Level 1 Purchasing Management Association of Canada, (PMAC) is preferred. Business Administrative Assistant course, or other related course would be an asset. Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills Ability to type accurately 50 w. p. m. Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite specifically Microsoft Excel, and the Internet. Excellent spelling and grammatical skills. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
