Cook Wallsend, Homeside Lodge Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw) Pay £10.90 per hour (£21,314 per annum) pro rata, with great benefits including Health Cash Plan Home, a place where you belong We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join our awesome team as a Cook at our Extra Care scheme for 55’s and over. You’ll be responsible for all kitchen duties including ordering food, menu planning and ensuring all health and safety regulations are maintained. You’ll plan and prepare all meals catering to our diverse customer group, ensuring all meals are nutritional and suit a variety of dietary needs and cultures. Typical day as a Cook Overseeing the management of the kitchen as directed by our Support Coordinator and Service Manager. Preparing and serving three meals a day to our customers, plus tea and snacks. Our customers can choose to eat their meals in their own apartments or in one of our communal dining rooms. Our customers have a variety of support needs including dementia, complex health and learning disabilities. Responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining adequate stocks of food and keeping records of expenditure. Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to keep calm under pressure. An understanding of the principles of confidentiality.
