Cook Full Time Days and Evenings Working 8am-4:30pm ** Pay rate up to $19.30/hour; based on experience ** United Methodist Communities is currently seeking a Cook for Bristol Glen Senior Care Community located in Newton, NJ. Bristol Glen, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is a thoughtfully designed and meticulously maintained 75-acre campus providing exceptional options for senior care living. Shift : Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm Status: Full Time Department: Dining Services Requirements for a UMC Cook: High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of cooking and meal preparation experience. 3-4 years of related work experience. No supervisory experience required Responsibilities for a UMC Cook: Ensures quality meal preparation including the following: consistency, presentation, flavor, temperature. Ensures safe food preparation including: receiving, storage, cooking, service, cleaning and sanitation of tools and work space. Fiscal stewardship of resident spends by following recipes, preparing food quantities as instructed, batch cooking and using proper cooking methods and techniques. Integral part of the production team supporting all dining programs (catering, events, retail, etc.).
