Cook Full Time or Part Time (Days/Evenings) ** Pay rate starts at $15.43/hour; based on experience** United Methodist Communities is currently seeking a Head Cook for Bristol Glen Senior Care Community located in Newton, NJ. Bristol Glen, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is a thoughtfully designed and meticulously maintained 75-acre campus providing exceptional options for senior care living. Requirements for a Cook: High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of cooking and meal preparation experience. 3-4 years of related work experience. No supervisory experience required Responsibilities for a Cook: Ensures quality meal preparation including the following: consistency, presentation, flavor, temperature. Ensures safe food preparation including: receiving, storage, cooking, service, cleaning and sanitation of tools and work space. Fiscal stewardship of resident spends by following recipes, preparing food quantities as instructed, batch cooking and using proper cooking methods and techniques. Integral part of the production team supporting all dining programs (catering, events, retail, etc.).
