Your Accountabilities: Creates, develops, and writes programs using product software to improve equipment features, programming, and performance. Performs control system design and manufacturing for automation of equipment that will meet company, customer, and product requirements. Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and debugs equipment programming/software to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Maintains technical documentation on worked performed. Serve as a liaison in the resolution of day-to-day operational/programming issues to ensure support is provided to meet operational goals. Communicates and collaborates with management, contractors, and/or vendors as needed. Manages assigned projects ensuring scope, timelines, and project goals are met. Position Requirements: Education: Two-year technical degree in automation maintenance, electrical technology or mechanical engineering or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience: 5+ years of progressive "hands-on" experience in the development and implementation of automation, electrical design, programming, schematics, control system integration and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment. Certification(s): N/A Functional Skills: Ability to develop, create, and program RSlogix5000, Micro-logics, and Compact Logics; ability to program SPC/PLCs related to Siemens controllers and Allen Bradley; ability to be hands-on (ie. on the plant floor) to support, troubleshoot, and resolve logic issues. Strong ability to read and interpret electrical prints. Excellent planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented and thorough with strong project management skills. Technology Aptitude/Skills: Excellent PC skills, strong MS Office skills, ERP, and AutoCAD experience needed. Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication/ Leadership/Behaviors: Solid collaboration skills, with an ability to work closely with management, team members, vendors, or contractors. Ability to be positive, conceptualize, and initiate projects effectively. Versatility/flexibility is also key to perform various portions of multiple projects. Reports To: Maintenance Manager Core Hours: Day Shift Work Conditions: The employee is regularly exposed to a manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise. The employee is regularly required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment such as slip on, inner, metatarsal safety-toed shoes, face shield, helmet, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear plugs. The employee is frequently exposed to hot areas, moving mechanical parts, and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The environmental climate is heated in the winter and hot in the summer.
