A client of BMF, a Premier Manufacturing Company based in Charlotte, NC seeks a talented professional to fill the role of Controller. As a key member of the Management team, the Controller will report directly to the CEO and will assume a hands on role in leading the day-to-day activities of the accounting department in this fast paced, growing company, to maximize its profitability and ensure sound financialreporting. Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Hands on management of all aspects of theaccounting function of the organization to ensure credibility by providingtimely and accurate financial reporting, account analysis, and accountreconciliations and other management reports on a timely basis. Responsibility for A/R, A/P and payroll functions, as well asrecording of transactions and adjusting entries and management of accountingstaff. Assist in the coordination of employee benefit plans and workers’ compensation. Cash management and Customer communications andcollections. Maintain strong relationships with division and affiliate VicePresidents, Administrative Managers and outside accounting firm Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team Maintain a system of internal control policiesand procedures to ensure (1) compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, stateand local laws and rules for financial and tax reporting, (2) safeguarding ofcorporate assets and (3) assurance that reporting systems accurately captureall financial data. Qualifications: BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; CPA required 7+ years overall hands-on accounting andsupervisory experience in a privately held company Manufacturing experience preferred, ideally in amulti-company or divisional environment Experience working with multi-state and multi-country accounting and reporting issues Excellent technical skills in accountingincluding experience with payroll, purchasing, cash flow management, andinventory management Excellent organizational and time managementskills with the ability to meet deadlines Strong overall computer skills and proficiency in Excel and Word Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsalong with ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization Strong analytical, decision making and problemsolving skills Results oriented, high level of personalintegrity and dependability and a strong sense of urgency Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy This is an exciting opportunity to join the Management Team of a growing and dynamic company.
