Clyde Companies, Inc is the administrative services group that supports the other eight subsidiaries. Clyde Companies is looking for a Controller who wants to have an impact and join the Clyde family! The position: As a Controller, you will play an integral role in leading financial reporting to internal and external users, and the creation of new accounting processes and value creation efforts aimed at operations. In this position, your tasks will include: Analyze financial data including preparing monthly financial reporting packages, Board of Director reports, etc., Oversee and maintain sound financial and operational processes in a multi-location environment by implement process improvements, providing location level training, and creating resource materials, Establish , implement, and monitor appropriate internal controls to ensure conformance and compliance with GAAP and other statutory requirements in coordination with the Accounting and Internal Audit teams, Oversee the budget process; including revenues, expenses, and preparation of the budget, etc., Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, Liaise with external auditors for year-end financial statement audits as well as compliance audits , Assist in interpreting financial results and lead periodic financial reviews with location and area level management Occasional presentations to the Senior Leadership Team, and Other assigned duties. What makes you successful: A successful Controller must have (required): Bachelors degree in Accounting, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or working towards it, and 4+ years of progress accounting experience. Other skills and abilities we are looking for are: Strong collaboration with team members, Proven leadership qualities, The ability to set and execute a strategic vision, Strong written and verbal communication skills- able to communicate accounting information to employees at all levels and understandings, Prioritization skills to ensure transactional tasks don't overtake strategic tasks, Demonstrated experience using business models, budget comparisons, and forecasting, Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, including consolidation and joint venture accounting, and Sound computer skills, including strong abilities with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
