Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Drive month-end and year-end closing procedures with financial expertise. Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support the strategic decision-making process. Evaluate cost structures, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and implement strategies to enhance financial efficiency. Engage with cross-functional teams and communicate financial insights to support the growth and success of the residential HVAC company. Identify and advocate for refinements in accounting systems and procedures. Shape the company culture by embodying shared values, emphasizing ethics and integrity. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Demonstrated experience as a Financial Controller, Chief Financial Officer, or Senior Accountant. Ability to inspire confidence and serve as a trusted right-hand to the owner of the company. GAAP Expertise: In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Excel Mastery: Advanced MS Excel skills. Hands-on experience with software like Sage Intacct and/or QuickBooks. Strong quantitative and qualitative financial analysis skills.
