Pruitt is seeking candidates interested in a Control System Technician position at our Fort Smith, AR facility. Incumbent will work as part of the Managed Pressure Drilling team to ensure that all equipment meets quality standards and performs according to its intended functionality. Additionally, candidate will be responsible for the electrical integrity of MPD control systems across various product lines.Pruitt is Q1 certified and a strict adherence to Quality Standards is a must. Technicians in this position work in a job that is very hands-on and intensely mechanical in nature. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years experience working in a control system technician role including experience with hazardous area control systems . Additional requirements include a minimum of 3 years' experience with industry specific software including, but not limited to: industrial control software, PLC software, SCADA, Emerson OE, Nidec Connect, WITS, etc. Candidate selected will install, test, operate and maintain equipment in accordance with company procedures and processes. This equipment will include MPD choke manifolds, actuated and manual isolation valves, coriolis meters, drill through mud gas separators, vertical flare stacks and high pressure pipework. Incumbent will also perform the following duties: Inspect and repair hazardous area control systems including intrinsically safe wiring circuits, variable frequency drives, networking devices and battery backup systems Routinely inspect control systems for loose components, frayed wires, damaged connectors or other damaged parts Perform quality checks on new control systems received from outside vendors Inspect and test extension cable packages for internal damage to multicore wiresets Measure amperage, circuitry and voltage of devices to diagnose and repair issues Work with electrical systems up to and including 480V 3Ph power Review technical documents to plan work and execute without direct supervision Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs, including redlined drawings Must be willing to travel occasionally for training, rig site visits, to repair equipment, etc. Must be willing to provide support to field teams as part of an after hours/weekends on-call rotation Candidate selected must pass a drug test as a condition of employment.We offer a very competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, credit union, etc.If you are interested in making a career move, please complete an application.No walk-in's or phone calls will be accepted.Equal Opportunity Employer
