Job Summary: Responsible to identify and improve the outcomes of manufacturing and operational processes to improve efficiencies, reduce cost and increase customer service Required Education and Experience: University degree in Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering or Business with the following experience Minimum of 10 15 years of manufacturing / tooling experience in automotive industry Minimum 5 years of manufacturing operations, program management experience in the automotive/industrial industry Clear and precise understanding of automotive OEMs practices and expectations Demonstrated leadership capability with leading organization for leadership and competency Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Working knowledge of automotive customers Excellent organizational and time management skills Travel required Essential Functions: Responsible for execution of corporate guidelines in all aspects of manufacturing Train manufacturing operations in corporate protocols ensuring optimal results Direct local management in all aspects of safe launch regarding new programs Alert corporate of potential risk factors associated with all aspects of the operation and provide solutions Ability to work independently and draw from experience in all aspects of manufacturing and program leadership Plan, coordinate, lead and participate with various multi-disciplined teams addressing objectives associated with the manufacturing and assembly process, productivity, volume outputs, scrap and rework, quality, safety, and delivery commitments to optimize a profitable operation Risk management, ensuring risk is minimized and the corporate reputation is protected Responsible for providing guidance to manufacturing facility to setup documentation in accordance with accepted automotive, corporate and customer standards Initiate DOEs for new tools and follow through with formalized reporting to management Oversee efficient lay-out of the manufacturing process, work flow in accordance.
