Job Overview:Handling consumer financial services matters, with a focus on litigationUtilizing experience in consumer finance, FDCPA, FCRA, and RESPADemonstrating strong academic and professional qualifications Duties:Representing clients in consumer financial services litigation matters, including cases involving FDCPA, FCRA, and RESPAConducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and preparing for court appearancesParticipating in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedingsProviding legal advice and counsel to clients on compliance with consumer protection laws and regulationsManaging client relationships and communicating effectively with stakeholdersCollaborating with other attorneys and support staff on case management and strategy Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Illinois State Bar in good standing2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on consumer financial servicesStrong academic and professional credentialsAdmissions to other state Bars a plus Certifications:Admission to the Illinois State Bar Skills:Proficiency in legal research and writingKnowledge of consumer financial services laws and regulationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and manage competing priorities This is a branch office of an exciting national law firm with nationwide litigation practice in general trial and appellate practice before state and federal courts, insurance coverage litigation and counseling, directors and officers liability, professional liability, environmental/mass tort coverage, white collar criminal defense, real estate and golf course development, biotech, and general business counseling. The Chicago office is focused on insurance coverage litigation and counseling for clients in Chicago and the Midwest. The lawyers of this small office seem to truly enjoy working together.
