Construction Manager Vanguard Renewables is the premier anaerobic digester developer/owner/operator in the United States. Our closed-loop anaerobic digestion process converts organic waste and cow manure into green electricity or renewable natural gas as well as other related “value-added” products. Our head office is in Weston Massachusetts, and we are funded by institutional capital partners. We currently have over twenty projects in development operating in over thirteen States. We have a plan to continue to aggressively expand into other domestic markets. The Construction Manager is responsible for the oversight of all activities as it relates to the project (s) under construction. This includes working with all internal/external stakeholders including vendors, dairy and contractors. Our Construction Managers must be open to 50% travel (by air) as we currently have over twenty-three active projects across fifteen States. Primary Roles and Responsibilities Overall responsibility for project site safety Utilize industry best practices throughout entire project execution. Provide project updates on a consistent basis to key. Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement. Provide insight and direction on construction plans prior to mobilization to ensure they are realistic and achievable. Supports in development and maintenance of project Master Schedule. Developing and Management of the 3-week look ahead. Analyze impacts to schedule & cost of recover / acceleration plans. Manage the projects in cost control, cost forecasting, invoicing, and financial management. Risk identification, Risk analysis, recovery planning. Analysis of “what-if” scenario impacts during strategic execution planning. Oversee project completion milestone progress & deliverables. Qualifications: 5-8 years of Construction Management experience Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws Proven ability to complete projects on-time, and one-budget. Full understanding of project financial setup, tracking, reporting & management. Full understanding of procurement process & management. Full understanding of contract language and use in building of compliance matrix. Full understanding of development & execution of change management process. Experience managing RFIs, Submittals, and Transmittals. Basic ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects at once. Advanced understanding of consequences of all project performance. Advanced schedule development and maintenance. Experience in contract compliance; change management process. Document control program development and execution. Blueprint & specification reading. Knowledge of estimating Excellent leadership skills, excellent communicator, negotiator, motivator.
