The candidate will also play a major role in interfacing with clients, contractors, and mentoring junior staff. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in resolving construction problems, working well in a team environment, and have superior communication skills. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic office in a healthy market focused on infrastructure development. Responsibilities: Be able to serve on either a construction management team in an advisory role where the owner's CM staff are integrated with Delve Underground field staff, or where our CM team has full responsibility for construction management duties (not integrated with owner staff) Provides technical input and contractual advice to owner (client) on construction projects involving infrastructure works Assist client in resolving construction problems and develop approaches to avoid, address, and evaluate contractor claims Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of construction management teams to ensure that goals and/or objectives are accomplished Manage single or multiple construction contracts concurrently Directs and coordinates activities of inspectors and other construction management field staff to track Contractor progress on schedule and on budget and monitor compliance with contract documents Reviews contractor submittals, RFI's, change requests, and correspondence and provides guidance to client Facilitates regular construction progress meetings involving designer, contractor, owner, and third-party personnel Prepares memoranda and correspondence related to construction correspondence and either signs the documents or drafts on behalf of the owner for their signature Monitor and report on progress of construction Provides technical leadership on construction management issues to regional staff Qualifications: BS in Engineering, Science, Architecture, Construction Management, or other related field. Construction management experience with owner, consultant, or contractor is required Experience with commercial and administrative aspects of construction management or construction is required Minimum 8+ years related experience in technical and project management roles on construction management or construction projects for the heavy civil engineering or vertical (building) industries. May have past experience with a construction contractor or consultant providing construction management services Strong communication (both oral and written), analytical and leadership skills Professional Engineering registration (PE) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred Project management, staff management and client interaction experience commensurate with level of experience Physical ability to walk around construction site with unlevel ground, carry up to 30 lbs, and climb ladders Knowledge of construction safety, OSHA and CALOSHA requirements preferred Willingness to travel to support projects in southern California ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?
