As individuals we are great, and together we are even better so come help us make a difference as we are currently seeking a Construction Engineer - Project Manager to join our team serving the General Building, Aviation and other sectors in Charlotte, North Carolina. Learn more about us in this video: https://bit.ly/3Jp3Dez and visit our website: https://www.smeinc.com/ Job Snapshot: Serving as a Project Manager for medium to large Construction Materials Testing, Special Inspections, and Geotechnical projects Mentoring of other professionals and field-based staff in client development and project management Developing and maintaining a local client base, and professional network Coordination of local and regional business development and marketing efforts particularly in the aviation sector but others as well Generating and/or reviewing field and laboratory cost estimates and proposals in accordance with project plans and specifications, International Building Code (IBC) requirements, and client-provided requests for proposals Required Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in Construction Materials Testing, Special Inspections, geotechnical engineering, or the aviation field Licensed Professional Management Professional (PMP) or Engineer (PE) in North Carolina, or able to obtain within 6 months Strong working knowledge of applicable ASTM, AASHTO, FAA and/or DOT standards and procedures, Special Inspections, and geotechnical evaluations and recommendations Willing and able to work outside in various weather conditions Able to work and maneuver equipment (such as a loaded wheelbarrow) on uneven ground Routinely lift up to 50 pounds Why work at S&ME?
