Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.This is a one:of:a:kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland's nuclear base and build a strong and long:lasting energy future for generations to come. Position Summary The Construction Coordinator actsas a representative of the construction functional group and serves as a link between Construction and the Engineering/Procurement teams. Participates in project meetings to represent construction, prepares and provides input to execution planning, schedules, cost, and general construction execution. Will develop a working knowledge of construction procedures, work processes, and automation tools used by construction and other functional organizations. Ensures that construction requirements are made known to the project team in a timely manner and obtains construction responses to the needs of other members of the project team. Early participation in the design development process by providing constructability input, with a focus on improving construction safety and quality, while seeking to optimize cost and schedule. Responsibilities : Develop constructability concepts and provide guidance to the design effort during the early phases of the project.: Participatein constructability reviews during the design process.: Collaboratewith the development of construction procedures, plans, and strategy documents.: Work with the design teams to ensure requirements are incorporated into the design, layout, and specifications.: Participate in design development and suggest/implement economical construction details to be incorporated into design drawings and specifications, utilizing lessons learnt from other projects and construction best practices.: Monitor and track engineering actionitems critical to support construction activities.: Monitor the completeness of engineering and procure
