At Inter Continental Edinburgh The George Hotel, we have an exciting opening to join our team as a Concierge… We are looking for someone who can commit to Full-Time, across 5 shifts per week. Being flexible would be a great plus! We are open 7 days a week 365 days a year and need people to work a range of shifts and days - this means we can offer great flexibility if required. At Inter Continental, we pride ourselves in maintaining service of the highest standards, intertwined with local culture wisdom and international know-how. We are paying £11.60 per hour, all overtime is paid for. As a Concierge your main duties and responsibilities will be being the first point of contact for our guests and ensuring a uniquely personal experience for every guest. You will be providing recommendations within the city for dining, drinking and adventuring! You will deal with queries and guest requests – ensuring all our guests leave with a smile on their face. We aim to make international travel more alluring by offering a ‘Slice of the Inter Continental Life’, providing a sophisticated and cosmopolitan stay for our guests. To be part of our charismatic team…the key skills & experience you’ll ideally already have are: Experience working as a Receptionist, Concierge or Guest Services Agent at a 4/5 Hotel is beneficial Knowledge of the local area, know the good spots for food and drink especially! Passion for interacting with guests, this is a hugely hands on role that requires great personal skills Willing to learn new things and work as part of our wider Hotel team!
