P OSITION: Compliance Specialist PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ensures that the Credit Union is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, reducing regulatory, legal and reputation risk. This position is responsible for compliance program management, required reviews, project management and compliance support to the organization. This position is responsible for developing,administering, and monitoring compliance programs. The Compliance Specialist reviews policies and procedures, assists management with compliance decision making and ensures appropriate changes are implemented. REQUIRED SKILLS: Maintains a high standard of accuracy. Is thorough, complete, neat, and professional in all documentation, system input and correspondence. Resolve escalated member issues. Strong verbal, written, listening, and interviewing skills. Must be PC-proficient, including keyboarding skills, in a Windows environment. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three to five years of similar or related experience. EDUCATION: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
