Due to internal movement and growth, we are seeking a Community Programs Manager to support and lead the strategy and design for several key programs: Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP), Caregiver, Dementia, Adult Protective Services and Ombudsman programs. More about the Opportunity: Reporting to the Director of Program and Community Support, the Community Program Manager's duties are as follows: Provides leadership, supports effective development of current programs, services and policies and implementation of new programs. Coaches, Develops and guides a team, including both individual contributors and managers of others. Evaluates and gives feedback to the team, ensures programs are highly effective and resources are used appropriately. Plans and manages budgets for assigned programs, identifies and researches funding opportunities and participates in the implementation of the Area Plan on Aging. Manages assigned programs in conformance with applicable policies, procedures and program requirements. Works with funded agencies in reviewing their action plans, assessing their concerns and obstacles and supporting their staff in the application of programs in their community. Identify needs and strategize implementation within the community. Shares analysis on program trends, data and developments for use in program planning with an eye on cultural competency. Develops and maintains positive collaborative relationships with community providers that enhance service delivery, performance and accountability. Stays updated on advocacy initiatives, legislative changes and serves as an internal and external resource. Overview of Experience we are looking for: BS degree in Social Work, Social Service, Planning, Gerontology, or related field; Master's degree preferred At least 4 years' experience in social services programming, planning, direct service - preferably in an aging or other closely related area Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong leader with previous supervisory experience Must currently have or be willing to obtain Adult Protective Caseworker and supervisor certification and Ombudsman Level 1 certification - on the job training will be provided Bi-Lingual, Spanish speaking preferred Competencies desired: Accountable, self-starter with high-level of initiative Confident, solution orientated individual who is focused on strategic program improvement Ability to coach and develop team members Strong project management skills Passion for our Mission, Vision and Values HOW TO APPLY: If interested, upload your resume, along with a cover letter, by clicking the apply button.
