*Position summary This position will be the combined manager and maintenance for two small communities in Anaheim within 2 miles of each other. Onsite living is required for this position and housing is provided at one of the communities and is part of the compensation package. *Company overview Founded in 1958, Star's Mission Statement is: We provide superior service to manufactured home communities, maximizing value of the properties that we are entrusted to serve. With communities throughout California, Colorado, Idaho and Nevada, we provide value in housing and integrity in service. *Company Core Values Transparency Inspired Disciplined Accountable Results Oriented *Position Performance Objectives Rent collection, deposit checks via check scanner, post payments to Rent Manager Perform regular property inspections, investigate and resolve tenant complaints Prepare Rule Violation and lot clean-up notices Regular common area maintenance and janitorial Maintain community safety and respond to emergencies Prepare vacant units for occupancy Accept applications for residency, participate in processing of applications, conduct lease signings Maintain resident files and confidentiality of such Work with Regional Property Manager to forecast projects, define scopes of work, obtain bids, write up purchase orders Provide oversight of vendors working on the properties Represent the community management as the local liaison for existing residents, prospective residents, vendors and government officials Live on site, housing is provided *Key Competencies Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public Be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families Possess good judgment, including common sense, be able to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and create value through service for our residents while moving the community in a positive direction Be customer-service oriented, with professionalism and integrity Computer skills: MS Office products, Rent Manager or Yardi experience is a plus, but will train Have a good work ethic and uphold the company values Able to work independently once given tasks *Physical Requirements Has the ability to work in front of a computer screen/typing approximately 30% of a typical working day Has the ability to walk the community for extended periods of time Has the ability to bend, stoop, walk, climb ladders for 70% of a typical working day Has the ability to bend, lift and reach boxes and maintenance supplies of 30 pounds or more Has the ability to safely use tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, drills, and saws Has the ability to log maintenance records in a computer or app *Experience Requirements Some management experience, desired, either mobile home or RV park High school/GED required Must live on site, housing is provided Bilingual English/Spanish, desired *What we offer Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401(k) Vacation Accrual, accrual begins immediately Paid holidays Compensation: $18 per hour, housing compensation, utility allowance Location: Anaheim, CA If this position caught your eye, apply online now.
