Job Overview The Communications Fellow will work in the External Affairs (EA) department with communications design, stakeholder relationship-building, and government affairs. Responsibilities Implement external communications strategies consistent with strategic and operational priorities. Lead and assist with curation and development of signature communications copy, including the annual report, annual event, and website redesign. Recommend approaches NJCC as a financial organization with a social mission can improve its communication with socially-motivated investors and funders. Lead internal qualitative data collection from NJCC staff and collaborators on marketing needs and potential solutions. Manage development of current content calendar deliverables, including press releases, brochures, newsletters, PowerPoint slides, and social media content. Qualifications Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in the field of community development and an enthusiasm towards NJCC's mission and vision. NJCC will give preference to candidates based on the following qualifications: Pursuing a degree in English, Communications, Media Relations, or related fields. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (i.e. InDesign, Illustrator) and social media platforms. Work experience at a nonprofit or social enterprise. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects. Strong interpersonal and writing skills. Effective analytical and research skills. COVID-19 Vaccine Required: As of the first day of employment, you must be able to demonstrate proof that you are fully vaccinated (as defined by the CDC) against COVID-19, unless you are granted a medical or religious exemption in accordance with company policy.
