The ideal candidate should have a strong background in general commercial litigation, with a preference for those with state court experience. The role involves working independently on cases, interfacing with clients, and handling various aspects of litigation, including pleadings, motions, and discovery practice. Duties:Manage all aspects of general commercial litigation cases, with a focus on state court proceedings.Handle pleadings, motions, and discovery practice, including e-discovery processes.Work independently on assigned cases while ensuring effective communication with clients.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client objectives.Interface directly with clients, providing updates, addressing inquiries, and ensuring client satisfaction.Uphold high levels of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree.JD degree from an ABA-accredited US law school.3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a preference for state court experience.Admission to and good standing with the New York State Bar.Strong analytical and communication skills.Previous or current employment with an AmLaw 100 firm is a plus. Skills:General commercial litigation expertise.State court litigation experience (preferred).Proficient in pleadings, motions, and discovery practice, including e-discovery.Exceptional research and writing skills.Strong analytical abilities.Effective communication and client interface skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Professionalism and ethical standards in legal practice.
