Practice Area: Insurance Defense - General,Insurance Coverage, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, Seattle office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a commercial litigation/insurance coverage associate attorney with 3+ years of experience in the practice of law. The candidate will analyze contracts and insurance policies; advise clients as to legal rights; assist in developing and implementing a strategy for defending and litigating the case; gather evidence in cases to formulate defense strategy and initiate legal action; retain and work with experts in preparing opinions and required reports; take and defend fact and expert witness depositions; prepare responses to written discovery requests; conduct legal and factual research; interview clients and witnesses; prepare legal briefs, arguments, and witness testimony in preparation for presentation of case; and handle other details in preparation for trial, such as representing client in court, and interprets rulings to further case strategy. Experience in commercial litigation, especially insurance coverage and insurance litigation, and attendance at trials and depositions would be a plus. WA Bar admission is required. OR Bar admission would be a plus. There are three law offices located in Washington, Oregon and China. The firm has eighty-three years of law practice expertise. Core practice areas consist of litigation-dispute resolution, business-real estate transactions, regulatory-policy and industries-services. They support diversity in the work force and community outreach.Additional Skills: The candidate must have a law degree. Should have excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to understand, analyze, interpret, and convey complex information and concepts. The position requires the ability to travel and/or attend (virtual or in-person) depositions, court hearings, mediations, trials, and other litigation-related activities. Often requires spending hours on phone or video conferences and preparing/reviewing complex documents under tight, time-sensitive deadlines. The ability to bill at least 1800 hours annually is required. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills are needed.
