Ideal candidates will need to successfully pass background checks, drug screenings, and reference verifications, in addition to possessing an exceptional driving record and a valid Driver's License. Responsibilities:• Installing, maintaining, and fixing commercial garage doors and their components in Austin, TX, US, such as electric motors, spring systems, and door openers.• Identifying any issues with malfunctioning garage doors and investigating the root cause of the problem accurately.• Making adjustments and replacing broken or worn components like springs, tracks, and hinges as necessary.• Performing regular maintenance checks to ensure all components of garage doors in Austin, TX, US operate smoothly.• Responding promptly to customer inquiries and providing exceptional customer service consistently. Qualifications:• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a must-have for the role of Commercial Garage Door Technician in Austin, TX, US.• Proficiency in utilizing power tools effectively is a prerequisite for this position.• Strong customer service skills and prior experience in customer interactions are essential qualifications.• The ability to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds and to reach and lift overhead is necessary for this job.• Accurately following instructions and being punctual are important attributes required for this role.• Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in working from a 12’ step ladder are necessary skills.• Experience in welding, particularly in MIG & Stick welding (certification not mandatory), is considered advantageous.• Operating Fork and scissor lifts, along with using tools like grinders, skill saws, chop saws, jig saws, and levels, is part of the job description.• Problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities are crucial for success in this position.• The flexibility to work in extreme weather conditions and challenging environments is a mandatory requirement.
