Additionally, effective communication and professionalism are essential for interfacing with clients and addressing legal and strategic matters in wage and hour litigation.Duties:Handle defense of wage and hour litigation, focusing on class actions.Prepare and respond to written discovery in wage and hour cases with limited supervision.Conduct depositions and motions involving discovery issues.Develop and implement discovery plans.Draft opposing motions for class certification in wage and hour matters.Communicate with clients, demonstrating professionalism and competence in legal and strategic aspects.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the California State Bar.Minimum 4 years of experience handling the defense of wage and hour litigation, preferably class actions.Thorough understanding of California and federal wage and hour laws, including overtime and meal and rest periods.Experience with deposition and motion practice related to discovery issues.Excellent writing skills with a focus on opposing motions for class certification.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.Certifications:Active membership in the California State Bar.Skills:Proficient knowledge and experience in California and federal wage and hour laws.Strong litigation skills, including written discovery, depositions, and motion practice.Ability to develop and execute discovery plans.Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and motions.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and follow-through.
