Title: Cocktail Terrace Doorman Reports To: Cocktail Terrace Manager, Food & Beverage Director Profile: The Cocktail Terrace Doorman is the first employee to interact with arriving guests as they enter the Cocktail Terrace. It is the job of the Doorman to greet patrons as they arrive, welcome them into the establishment, and direct them to the Terrace. Responsibilities & Duties: Follows all steps of service. Understands that they are the first and last impression that the guest receives. Knows at least three menu items and can explain them to guests. Remembers that they are not a "bouncer", but a host and ambassador for 21c/the Cocktail Terrace. Verifies that all guests are at least 21 years of age. Creates total in-house awareness of VIPs, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. and communicates with Manager on Duty. Maintains accurate guest count in line with occupancy restrictions. Completes all sidework as outlined in manual. Reports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shift. Maintains a positive, friendly attitude with coworkers and guests. Maintains a clean, orderly appearance of the Cocktail Terrace entrance and exit areas. Assists with and executes any and all tasks as assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements: Ability to work flexible hours (nights, weekends). Responsible, dependable, punctual, and adaptable. Strong communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and understand English. Clean and professional appearance. Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c. Must pass a background check. Education & Formal Training: High school or equivalent education required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Requires lifting of up to 50 lbs.
