Title: Cocktail Terrace Bartender Reports To: Cocktail Terrace Manager, Food & Beverage Director Profile: The Cocktail Terrace Bartender provides timely, accurate, and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for each guest. Responsibilities & Duties: Follows all steps of service. Provides superior service behind the bar by preparing drinks according to recipe standards. Knows drink names, ingredients, method of preparation, appropriate glassware, and garnishes. Knows all menu descriptions for food and beverage menu. Ensures all stock is up to par. Provides prompt, accurate report of all income receives during shift. Sells beverages responsibly with customer's best interest in mind. Completes daily inventory and informs servers, managers, and bar backs of any changes. Maintain smooth flow of service. Completes all sidework as outlined in manual. Reports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shift. Maintains a positive, friendly attitude with coworkers and guests. Maintains a clean, orderly appearance of the bar area. Assists with and executes any and all tasks as assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements: Ability to work flexible hours (nights, weekends). Responsible, dependable, punctual, and adaptable. Strong communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and understand English. Clean and professional appearance. Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c. Exhibits strong beverage knowledge. Must pass a background check. Education & Formal Training: High school or equivalent education required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Requires lifting of up to 50 lbs. Exposure to outside elements. 21c Museum Hotels is an equal opportunity employer.
