Program vertical and horizontal mills and lathes Ability to perform CNC setup on vertical and horizontal mills and lathes when necessary Analyze drawings, sketches and designs to determine the best program and process to manufacture precision parts Write setup instruction and tool list to optimize setup time Observe operation of machine on trial run to improve program cycle time Create job travelers and manufacturing operations from material and hardware to outside process Minimum Qualifications: To perform the job successfully, the individual must have the following minimum qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; Able to use and read basic measuring devices (measuring tape, calipers, etc.) To perform this job successfully, the individual should have knowledge of design software and manufacturing software, as well as standard office programs. Education and Experience: 5+ years Mastercam experience Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Experienced in CNC setup Experienced with Onsrud routers CNC machine certification a plus Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to office equipment and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however certain areas of the work environment may have elevated noise levels and require hearing protection.
