Description:
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies Maintain work area, tools, and equipment to guarantee safety. Assure through visual and physical inspection that all parts produced meet the specification as indicated on the work order. Maintain oil and coolant levels and machine cleanliness. Check, position & verify delivery of coolant & fluids for operations. Set and program machine for operations, run warm-up cycle & shut down Maintains clean and orderly work areas Reports to work on time and adheres to lunch and break schedules Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years' experience operating a CNC machine Read and understand blueprints Ability to use basic measurement tool. Ability to perform basic math functions Ability to differentiate colors Ability to work in hot or cold temperature climates for extended periods Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds Must use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms Ability and willingness to change job functions at a moment's notice Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
