Job Summary: Responsible for programming, setting up and operating a CNC machine, maintaining equipment, adhering to quality and safety standards, and keeping detailed part records. You will be responsible for: Strictly follow safety policies, procedures, rules and safe work methods, along with making safety suggestions to support continuous improvements in safety Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce better results Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality Advise the maintenance department or supervisor of any machine issues, crashes, or needed repairs. Independently operate CNC equipment and observe operations with focused attention. Perform tool wear offsets or change inserts to meet tolerance requirements Do Programming Regular and reliable attendance Working cooperatively with others to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets Contribute to continuous improvement culture Other duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications: Detail oriented and an effective time manager Individual shall possess average written and oral communication skills Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and (software) A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools Ability to perform basic mathematical computations including the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, geometry & trigonometry to practical situations Ability to meet production goals for quality and quantity Complete work orders accurately Forklift certification Clear, effective communication Working Conditions: Normal production working environment Disclaimer Clause: The purpose of this job description is to document the major aspects of the job.
