CNC MACHINIST Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist to work along side our CNC Programmer. ESAero is a growing aerospace company in the San Luis Obispo area and provides various services which include but are not limited to: rapid system development, on-demand niche engineering, hands-on development/testing, and small UAS aerospace system manufacturing. **This position is fully on-site at Empirical System's Aerospace in San Luis Obispo, CA Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain machine shop equipment Set up and operate CNC and manual machines per documentation Prepare stock Enter data into digital travellers Assist in managing inventory of consumables Utilize machining tools to modify and create parts Provide hands-on support to other shop operations as needed Required Qualifications and Skills: Proficiency and experience with machining tools and operations such as lathes, mills, drill press, and bandsaw. CNC setup and operation experience, including 3-axis and 5-axis mills. Ability to simultaneously monitor multiple CNC machines Demonstrated foundation in GD&T Technical hands-on capability with attention to detail. Including parts fabrication, assembly, and general shop work/maintenance Ability to use basic precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges. 3+ years of experience Desired Qualifications and Skills: Experience with parts and Inventory Management CAD/CAM experience Experience with CNC pallet changers Ability to design fixturing Standard Benefits: Health: Health/Dental/Vision PTO Retirement: 401k Casual dress code, Free snacks Amazing location to live, work, and play ESAero is an equal opportunity employer Must present proof of authorization to work in the United States Hiring Range: $25-$35 hourly Powered by JazzHR
