YOUR LIFE AS A CNC MACHINIST This entry-level machinery position is full-time and typically works 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM . As a CNC Machinist, you are vital to the operations of our business. You use a wide variety of machine shop equipment, including manual lathes, computer numerical control (CNC) lathes, milling machines, drill presses, hydraulic saws, and press grinders to perform different tasks. Each day on the job, you learn something new about the machinery we use. You review drawings, blueprints, and instructions to ensure that each machine is operating properly. If equipment malfunctions, you troubleshoot it to determine the source of any issues. Then, you disassemble it and carefully keep track of the parts. After fixing the problem, you reassemble it.
