CNA, Hospital, PRN, Night shift HMC is offering $3 night and $4 weekend pay differentials. The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for supporting medical staff in administering care to patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. The duties include helping patients bathe and maintain proper hygiene, feeding patients or ensuring they take their medication and assessing their patients' vital signs to notify staff of any changes. We are looking for CNA's to carry out our mission to provide compassionate and excellence. The day shift is from 6 pm to 6:30 am. This position will be primarily based in the hospital, however, CNA's will be expected to cross train and float to the nursing home and the Common's Assisted Living facility when the need arises. Job Responsibilities The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) aids the professional nursing staff. Delivers direct care to patients as directed by the RN or LPN. Always maintains patient comfort and safety. Follows all departmental policies and procedures as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Represents the facility with integrity and treats every resident with dignity and respect. Follows nurse instructions to perform procedures. Complies with HIPAA Privacy Act by protecting confidential patient information. Follows all policies and procedures to maintain a safe hospital setting. Participates in all training and continuing education. Performs other related work as required or requested. Requirements High school diploma or the equivalent is required Illinois CNA certificate is required CPR card is required Stellar customer service skills are required Ability to analyze and solve problems is required Ability to work independently with little general supervision is required Ability to perform the essential functions and requirements of the job Physical Demands: Must be able to speak and understand the English language. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to move intermittently. Must be able to assist resident to and from bathroom if needed. Must be able to assist resident with meals if needed.
