The Newport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, part of Virginia Health Services is hiring Certified Nursing Assistant's for our Long Term Care and Rehab Center located in Newport News, VA. Currently hiring for Part Time, for Day and Evening shifts ! All opportunities include working every other weekend. Starting at $15-$20/hour! The Certified Nursing Assistant reports to the Charge Nurse and is responsible for providing direct resident care in a timely manner. Responsibilities: Maintains resident rooms and nursing unit in accordance with infection control standards. Maintains accurate, complete and timely documentation of resident care. Works with the interdisciplinary team to assist in achieving planned resident goals. Identifies residents on nursing programs and provides the necessary services. Complies with all established policies and procedures. Promotes and demonstrates positive customer service towards VHS, co-workers, residents and visitors. Assumes duties at any Virginia Health Services unit/facility as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with Virginia Board of Nursing. Experience/education in Gerontological Nursing preferred. Computer knowledge preferred. Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret information. Must be able to lift, push, pull and move up to 50 pounds. Why join Virginia Health Services?
