Cloud Database Administrator Location: Chantilly, Alexandria, OR STL Required Clearance: TS/SCI Employment Type: Full-Time Regular Shift: Day Travel: No Relocation Assistance: Yes We are Ennoble FirstThe people supporting and securing some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects across the countryWe ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarterOur work has meaning and impact on the world around us, but also on us, and that's importantEnnoble First is your placeYou make it your own by embracing autonomy, seizing opportunity, and being trusted to deliver your best every dayWe thinkWe actWe deliverThere is no challenge we can't turn into an opportunityJob Description: Ennoble First has an opening for an experienced database administrator to provide operations sustainment and engineering support under the Foundation Sustainment Services contractResponsibilities: Primary responsibilities include monitoring the database system and perform routine health checks; deploy security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments; update databases with new data; update operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPsCore Qualifications:--- Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.--- Minimum 4-10 years of information technology experience, minimum of 4-6 years of practical Database Administration experience.--- Design, implement, and maintain a multiple security enclave data environment, in the AWS cloud.--- Managing database cloud environment with minimal downtime while ensuring data integrity.--- Deploying and managing databases on cloud platforms like Amazon RDS or Aurora.--- Developing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.--- Designing and implementing scalable database structures.--- Creating and maintaining data models to ensure database integrity and performance.--- Optimizing database performance through index creation and query tuning.--- Aligning database operations with CI/CD pipelines through collaboration with software maintenance teams.--- Proficiency in database management systems such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.--- Planning and executing database upgrades, migrations, and patches for new features and security.--- Analyzing and forecasting database capacity for scalability and optimal performance.--- Leveraging cloud backup solutions for data resilience and easy restoration in failures.--- Using infrastructure as code tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation) for consistent and automated database management.--- Creating and maintaining documentation for database design, configurations, and processes.--- Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.--- Must have DoD 8570 compliance certifications (i.e., CompTIA Security, CompTIA Cloud, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:--- Implementing and optimizing data warehousing solutions on cloud platforms, like Amazon Redshift.--- Integrating databases with containerization platforms (e.g., Docker) and orchestrating with tools like Kubernetes for efficient resource utilization.--- Prior experience with NGA and NGA's support to mission partnersEnnoble First is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive work environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran statusEnnoble First participates in E-VerifyThe information below will be listed on our website's careers landing pageEEO is the Law - Pay Transparency Nondiscrimination www.dhs.gov/E-Verify E-Verify is a registered trademark of the U.SDepartment of Homeland SecurityThis business uses E-Verify in its hiring practices to achieve a lawful workforce.
