Reporting to the Director for Children and Family Services, the Clinician is responsible for direct therapeutic services to clients including individual, family and group therapy. DUTIES Provide direct therapeutic services to clients and program participants as needed, including group work and family therapy. Administer required behavioral and mental health assessments for children and families. Facilitate comprehensive clinical related training to interns. Develop and maintain positive relationships with funding sources, licensing sources, families, and collaterals. Participate in data collection and review to evaluate individual and program success set goals for improvement based on overall strategies and objectives. Coordinate services for each participant in conjunction with the Case Manager. Participate in case staffing and offer clinical feedback regarding client treatment needs. Attend, facilitate, and assist with providing on-going education and support services to adult caregivers. Provide crisis intervention and guidance to children and families regarding clinical components of crisis intervention and long-term treatment strategies. Apply a working knowledge of child welfare best practices to protect all clients in care and mitigate risk factors where possible Maintain documentation of all clinical activities in accordance with program and state policy Maintain an updated, working knowledge of DHS and UC/ORR policy and operating procedures Meet regularly with supervisor to consult on cases, review case plan decisions, and evaluate client progress Provide translation support as needed for clients, sponsors, and staff Comply with laws and regulations regarding client confidentiality Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in Social Work with direct clinical experience Licensure (LMSW or LCSW-C) to provide clinical services in Maryland or eligible to obtain professional licensure or registration; Independent Licensure is preferred. Experience providing clinical services to refugee and/or immigrant populations, preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish, including interpersonal communication, and clinical and persuasive writing skills. Ability to work under stress or in a fast-paced environment, including crisis situations. Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to collaborate with others, including case management staff, educational team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders. Ability to practice cultural sensitivity and work effectively with diverse populations Ability to be flexible with working hours and on-call responsibilities Computer skills adequate to perform essential functions (Apricot, Microsoft Office, and any internal case management software) Special Posting Requirements Bi-lingual English and Spanish, preferred. Ability to work 3 evenings per week Valid Driver's License, proof of automobile insurance, required for travel to schools or other community-based programs as needed. Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries.
