ABOUT THE POSITION The Riverside University Health System - Behavioral Health Department seeks candidates for several Behavioral Health Services Supervisor positions. Incumbents in these positions supervise and coordinate the work of multidisciplinary staff providing behavioral health services for specialized programs within the behavioral health department. The schedule for these positions will be a 9/80 or 4/10 schedule and will be determined by the hiring department. We are looking for candidates who * Are Licensed professionals (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) * Have a minimum of two years post-licensure experience * Have strong computer and organizational skills * Have supervisory/lead experience For this recruitment, some positions are eligible for a 10% DTR differential that is applied to hours worked. We have Immediate openings in the areas below: Youth Hospital Intervention Program - (YHIP), Perris & Temecula Children's Clinic, CA The County of Riverside's Behavioral Health Department - Youth Hospital Intervention Program has an opening for a Behavioral Health Services Supervisor position. The Youth Hospitalization Intervention Program (YHIP) works with children between the ages of 5 to 18 years old and is a time limited intensive program serving children that are at risk for psychiatric hospitalization. The aim of YHIP is to provide short term therapy to stabilized youth coming out of hospitals and linking them to treatment in outpatient programs. The position will provide supervision, oversight, and program management to a team of Clinical Therapist, Behavioral Health Specialist, Parent Partners, License Vocational Nurses, Psychiatry, and other office staff. The position will also participate in field work therefore a California Drivers License is required. MobileResponseProgram, Desert Hot Springs, Ca. The County of Riverside's Behavioral Health Department - Mobile Response Program has an opening for a Behavioral Health Services Supervisor position. The Mobile Crisis Response Program provides crisis intervention services to anyone, anywhere and anytime throughout Riverside County. The Mobile Crisis Response Teams are part of the Crisis Support System of Care Program. These are field based teams consisting of Clinical Therapists, Behavioral Health Specialist, Substance Use Specialist, Homeless and Housing Specialist, and Peer Support Specialist working collaboratively with Law Enforcement, Emergency Departments, Schools, Cities, Community Agencies and the community directly to decrease the need for inpatient hospitalizations, as well as decreasing the amount of time that these agencies are dedicating to individuals in psychiatric crisis. The Mobile Crisis Response Teams can work with individuals from all age groups. This position will provide administrative and clinical support to mobile crisis field-based staff; hire, on board and train new staff; monitor service delivery and quality of services provided; and participate in program development with the leaderships team. This position will occasionally work in the field observing staff therefore a driver's license is required. Riverside New Life, Riverside CA The County of Riverside's Behavioral Health Department - Riverside New Life Clinic has an opening for a Behavioral Health Service Supervisor. The New Life clinic assist in reintegrating and rehabilitating individuals coming out of the prison/local jails to be a functioning member of society; providing mental health services to those in need to better manage their overall health and wellness. The position will work with the forensic population, those justice involved, who have prior incarceration or individuals suffering with mental illness and substance use. This position will provide supervision over our outpatient clinic, full service partnership and day reporting center (which is a co-location with probation). This position will oversee pre-licensed and licensed Clinical Therapist, Behavioral Health Specialist, Peer Specialist, Community Services Assistants, and other office support staff. This position will work a 9/80 schedule from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and will require some field work therefore driving is required. Meet the Team! RUHS-Behavioral Health EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES Plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate the work of a multidisciplinary staff providing behavioral health treatment services, social and rehabilitation services, and consultation and education services to consumers, public and private agencies, and the community. Evaluate overall unit activities, including methods and procedures for effectiveness and consistency with program goals and objectives,; recommending and implementing changes in program, policies, and procedures as necessary. Evaluate performance of personnel and take or recommend appropriate course of action; interview, select, and recommend the hiring of new staff members. Provide guidance to subordinates on departmental philosophy, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures through casework conferences, staff meetings, and work review; assist and participate in the development and coordination of in-service training and staff development programs. Make or review decisions on difficult consumer assessment and casework matters. Work with other public, private, and community organizations providing health and human services to mentally and emotionally disabled individuals to gain and ensure cooperation in order to achieve program goals; participate in behavioral health conferences and local area committees; may participate in regional or countywide community needs assessment and program planning development and evaluation activities. Assist in preparing annual budget requirements and monitor expenditures to ensure unit is within funding provisions; prepare reports and correspondence regarding workload statistics, casework and unit methods, and procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Two years of post-license professional experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting providing direct client services which must have included: client assessment and evaluation, development and implementation of appropriate treatment plans, providing psychotherapy or behavioral health counseling, and providing indirect services involving information, consultation, and educational services to staff and community. License: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners. Candidates recruited from out-of-state must possess an out-of-state license to practice in one of the above stated options. Individuals hired under this option shall obtain their license to practice issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences within three years of date of hire. During the interim three years, the incumbent shall be eligible for a Mental Health Professional Licensing Waiver Request approved by the State of California Health and Human Services Agency. Candidates qualifying with the Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor option must have completed additional education and training as defined below: 1) Six semester units or nine quarter units specifically focused on the theory and application of marriage and family therapy, OR a named specialization or emphasis area on the qualifying degree in marriage and family therapy, marital and family therapy, marriage, family, and child counseling, or couple and family therapy; 2) No less than 500 hours of documented supervised experience working directly with couples, families, or children; and 3) A minimum of six hours of continuing education specific to marriage and family therapy, completed in each license renewal cycle.
