The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at Purdue University-West Lafayette invites applications from candidates holding a minimum of a masters degree and CCC-SLP for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor in Speech-Language Pathology. Candidates specializing in school-aged speech & language disorders are especially encouraged to apply. The position is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track appointment with an anticipated start date in the fall of 2024 (start date is negotiable).The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) is a national leader in clinical education and research and offers an undergraduate degree (BS) and graduate degrees (AuD, MS-SLP, and PhD). The Departments graduate programs in audiology (AuD) and Speech-Language Pathology (MS-SLP) consistently rank in the top 10 nationally, according to U.S. News and World Report. SLHS is a diverse and collegial department with 20 tenure-track and 15 clinical faculty. SLHS values excellence and distinction in all of its degree programs, supports faculty mentorship and advancement, and promotes engagement state-wide, nationally, and internationally. The Department houses a thriving interdisciplinary community where interprofessional education/practice and research-clinical collaborations are encouraged. http://www.purdue.edu/hhs/slhs/Clinical faculty are full members of the SLHS faculty and are expected to demonstrate excellence in the areas of clinical practice and clinical education, playing a pivotal role in shaping and preparing future clinicians. Primary responsibilities include providing clinical supervision, mentorship to students, and classroom teaching. Three years of relevant clinical experience and eligibility for Indiana Speech-Language Pathology licensure are required; supervision experience preferred.
