Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day 2:1 Match on retirement savings Responsibilities* Supervises clinic administrative personnel in a single site, and throughout RAHS sites as assigned. Responsible for office administrative operation, including billing, patient scheduling and the like. Works closely with RAHS Clinical Director, Director and Program Manager to ensure compliance with standards of care, policies, and procedures. Works collaboratively with Clinical Director and Program Manager on clinical processes to ensure clinical compliance and optimal clinical flow. Works collaboratively with RAHS Director and Program Manager to assure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies. Responsible for the disposal of medical waste Health System Safety Drills Chemical Inventory Responsible for workflow of Medical Assistants and Medical Assistant Specialists activities to ensure optimal clinical flow. Prepares agendas, minutes and leads regularly scheduled Medical Assistant meetings. Provides in service training and acts as a preceptor for Medical Assistants, Medical Assistant Specialists, and other staff members as assigned. Training coordination includes: Mandatory MLearning assignments and follow-up for staff overdue Annual point of care training and assessment/training of new clinical staff Orientation for new staff members in the program, with focused orientation and side-by-side support for Medical Assistant Specialist staff Scheduling trainings as required for RAHS staff including MiChart and Cadence trainings. Oversee the ordering, distribution and maintenance of medical, IT and communications equipment. Leads renovation and partners with facilities for construction projects as assigned. Point of contact for District building maintenance staff and coordinates projects and health center space issues promptly. Coordination of maintenance and utilization of Michigan Medicine RAHS vehicles. Works closes with the Regulatory Readiness team, and Pharmacy Administration for regular regulatory checks. Maintains high knowledge in this area and follow-up with clinics to ensure compliance. Demonstrates proactive problem solving skills, critical thinking, and takes the initiative to identify, act and follow through on problems. Promotes and facilitates positive communication with the entire RAHS department. On-site health center clinical or administrative coverage as requested. Other duties as assigned. Management duties include interviewing, selecting and training of employees; setting and adjusting their rates of pay and hours of work; planning and directing their work; appraising their productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in their status; handling their complaints and grievances and disciplining them when necessary. Management responsibilities include the authority to hire, fire, or promote assigned employees or make recommendations that are given particular weight. Employees have impact on budgeting, controlling costs, planning, scheduling, and procedural change. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests. Under general supervision of the Director of RAHS, provides administrative support to Director, department or group of professionals. Position reports to the RAHS director. Required Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. 2-5 years of experience in primary, adolescent or academic healthcare setting. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and achieve project objectives. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Desired Qualifications* Masters of Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related field and equivalent experience. Associate nursing degree or BSN. 2-5 years of experience managing clinical operations. 1-2 years of experience with MiChart or Electronic Medical Records Microsoft Office Suite expertise. Background Screening Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
