Employment Type: Full-time (Permanent) Department : Real Estate and Property Management Union: Included (CUPE) Salary: Level 1 - $21.19/hr File #: 24-REPM-01 Posting Date: April 11, 2024 Posting Close : April 25, 2024 Position Summary Reporting to the Manager, Real Estate & Property Management, the Cleaner is responsible for the general cleaning activities at one or more Dixon Hall program site locations. The Cleaner will also be responsible for routine ground maintenance, including snow removal, minor repairs, and painting, as required. The day-to-day duties of the Cleaner will be supervised by the program manager of the location at which they are working. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for general cleaning activities at Dixon Hall location at 58 Sumac and other locations as needed. Perform routine ground maintenance, including snow removal, minor repairs, and painting, as required. Work safely at all times following Health and Safety policies and procedures, and report any potential hazards, faults, or problems to the Manager or appropriate emergency contact. Follow all program specific policies, procedures, and best practices for health, safety, and infection control. Work under the guidance of the agency and program policies and procedures, including the Mission, Vision, and Values of Dixon Hall. Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as assigned within the purview of the job description. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Proficiency in using cleaning and maintenance equipment. Demonstrated experience in cleaning and maintenance; trained in the procedures and practices of commercial property cleaning and maintenance. Experience with the safe use of cleaning chemicals and fluids and understand requirements under WHIMS legislation.
