Come grow with us. Be a specialized fueling facility designer. Argus Consulting is seeking qualified individuals to fill a Civil Engineer position in our Overland Park, KS. Other office locations will be considered for the right candidate. Projects include fueling systems for commercial airports, rail companies and military installations worldwide and cover a broad spectrum in size, ranging from small operations to multi-million-dollar fuel storage and distribution facilities. Clients include airlines, airports, fixed-base operators, railroads, the U.S. government, ENR's Top 25 Architecture/Engineering Design Firms and ENR's Top 10 Design/Build Firms, Fortune 500 companies, fuel-servicing companies, and oil companies. Applicant Qualifications Professional Civil Engineer (P.E.) with experience working for other consulting firms with ability to obtain licensure in additional states (NCEES record preferred) Professionally fluent in English and Spanish Bachelor's degree required in civil engineering from accredited program. Minimum of five years design related experience, with experience working on projects related to fueling at commercial airports, military systems, ground fuels, and/or oil & gas a plus. This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad civil engineering tasks. Successful candidate will have excellent written verbal communication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater management (Hydrographs, Storm Sewers, etc.), PCASE, AutoTURN, Microsoft Office Suite Working knowledge of codes and criteria applicable to the target industry experience (e.g. Unified Facility Criteria (UFC), NFPA, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), etc.) Experience developing design deliverables including drawings, technical specifications, and design narratives Job Duties May Include Provide development of multi-discipline engineering design strategies, studies, reports, drawings and specifications for the construction of commercial aviation, military, rail, oil and gas and industrial projects Perform civil engineering tasks/infrastructure design including, but not limited, to the following: site planning and layout, topographic survey coordination, grading and earthwork, stormwater management / hydrology, site utilities (storm drainage / sanitary sewer / water / fuel / fuel containment drainage / etc.), pavements (rigid and flexible), Erosion and sediment control plans, etc. Collaborate with Project Managers including coordination with clients, production coordination with Argus employees, communication with subconsultants, assisting with permit review process, and other duties as assigned.
