Job Title NextGen / Family Life Pastor Non-denominationalAffiliation: Part of the "Brook" family/network of churches in the greater Milwaukee, WI area, which began with Elmbrook Church in Brookfield. Our church is located 4 hours north of Milwaukee, in the small, beautiful, Northwoods community of Minocqua/Woodruff. Salary: Varies, depending upon education and experience. Reports To Lead/Senior PastorSend inquiries and resumes to: XXXX@eaglebrookminocqua.org ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for the man, woman, or couple... who would love to minister to young families and children, develop a new ministry from the ground floor, and do so in the beauty of the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Summary of role: The NextGen / Family Life Pastor is responsible to provide leadership and direction over all aspects of NextGen ministry... with a primary emphasis on birth through 6th grade... and a secondary emphasis on 7-12th grade. Should have a desire to see children and teenagers come to know Jesus, and begin living out their relationship with him. Lead & Direct Develop relationships with children, middle-schoolers, high schoolers, and their families. Recruit, equip, and empower separate teams to assist in reaching, and discipling the various age levels of NextGen ministries. Develop a strategy to reach new families, children, and teenagers. Instill a heart for worship, discipleship, fellowship, serving, and outreach. Oversee the Sunday morning childrens Sunday School Conduct weekly services for Middle school / High School students. Become a visible presence in our local schools. Grow the ministry to the point where this role turns into 2 (childrens / youth) Organizational leadership Understand that you are a vital part of this church community, staff, and the volunteers that serve Christ at Eaglebrook. Maintain a presence at the church office throughout the week (10 hrs/wk avg) Attend weekly staff meetings. Attend weekly Sunday services when not on vacation. Attend church wide events. Attend monthly elders (church leadership) meetings to provide updates Strategic Initiatives and Events Organize childrens / youth camps & retreats Instill a heart of serving whether through local opportunities or short-term missions Create, organize and lead special events and activities (VBS, youth outings) Be willing to be where students and families are school activities, athletic events, etc. Pastoral Care Assist with Hospital visitations, funerals, counseling, weddings, as needed.
