EVERYONE Is welcomed to Jesus EVERYONE Is growing in Jesus EVERYONE Is empowered by Jesus EVERYWHERE we pray in Jesus EVERYWHERE we show up with the love of Jesus EVERYWHERE we hunger to share Jesus Job Summury:The Children's Director will play a crucial role in developing and leading a vibrant, engaging, and spiritually enriching program for children, fostering their growth and understanding of the Gospel in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. Responsibilities: Program Development: Design, implement, and oversee age-appropriate, Gospel-centered curricula and programs for various age groups (toddlers, elementary-aged children). With support of the Family Pastor, create and manage a childrens ministry budget. Plan and manage the childrens ministry calendar including special recruiting, training, conference, and team-building activities. Spiritual Guidance: Create an atmosphere that nurtures children's spiritual growth through biblical teachings, prayer, worship, and other activities that reinforce Gospel-centered values. Leadership: Recruit, train, and support volunteers to serve in various capacities within the children's ministry, ensuring a cohesive and effective team. Plan and manage the childrens ministry calendar including special recruiting, training, conference, and team-building activities.Scheduling volunteers for weekend programming. Under direction of the Family Pastor, develop departmental goals, objectives, and metrics. Event Coordination: Organize and oversee special events, camps, VBS (Vacation Bible School), and other activities tailored to children, fostering community and deepening their faith experience. Support and coordinate fun activities and seasonal events for families. Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and secure environment by implementing and adhering to safety policies, background checks for volunteers, and compliance with relevant regulations. Parental Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, providing resources, updates, and opportunities for parental involvement in their children's spiritual development. Collaboration: Coordinate with other church leaders and ministries to ensure alignment with the overall church vision and values. Communicate regularly and effectively with the Family Pastor and team members. Enthusiastically support the church, leadership, and team. Spritual Qualifications: A strong, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ with a clear testimony of faith Live a Gospel centered life Strong moral integrity and values with a commitment to moral purity Commitment to a healthy and growing marriage (if applicable) The ability to manage and balance family with work and ministry life A person who disciples their children to know God and love Him (if applicable) A person who clearly has gifting in connecting to and encouraging children Demonstrated excellence as a Childrens Ministries Director A demonstrated ability to shepherd and disciple people under their care Skills: Ability to positively influence others and lead by example, not position. Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Cornerstone Community Church. Experience in a multi-staff, multi-service environment preferred. A track record of recruiting, training and retaining a volunteer staff preferred. A passion to help and equip families to build loving and Christ honoring homes. Ability to grow and mentor volunteers and ministry team members to achieve excellence in Childrens Ministry. Knowledgeable in how technology can be used in services, including: sound, lighting, computers, and video projection. Ability to lead and work without direct supervision. A heart to be a spiritual family for kids with broken families. With passion and excitement, lead Cornerstone Community Church (especially its children and parents) into its next phase of growth and depth in discipleship. Has a desire to Partner with Parents. Be punctual Education/Experience Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required. Prior experience (minimum three years) successfully engaged with childrens ministry with one year in a leadership capacity preferred. Experience in a medium to large Church or not-for-profit organization would be beneficial. CPR certification is preferred but not required Compensation: 25 hours a week, @ $25 an hour = $625 a week @ 52 weeks = 32,500 a year.
